President Husović visited the Association of Pensioners in Rožaje
Rožaje Municipality President Rahman Husović and his colleagues visited the Association of Pensioners in Rožaje today.
The President of the Association, Šabo Nurković, expressed his satisfaction with the President's visit and emphasized that he was honored that Rožaj pensioners were part of his first official visits.
During the one-hour visit, the activities carried out in the organization of the Association, as well as plans for future activities, were highlighted. Nurković said that thanks to the support of the Government of Montenegro, a lot was invested in the adaptation of the rooms where pensioners stay.
President Husović referred to the problems faced by pensioners in Rožaje, such as lower pensions compared to the official average and the fact that a huge number of pensioners live on the poverty line. The first man of the municipality stated that he is determined to provide support to pensioners in order to improve their living conditions.
"We must work together to achieve social justice and continue to advocate for a better tomorrow for the most vulnerable categories of the population, including pensioners, because we as a society are obliged to provide them with a peaceful and dignified old age," said President Husović.
The President of the Municipal Board of the Bosniak Party in Rožaje, Husein Kurtagić, and the Head of the President's Cabinet, Ismet Kalač, were also on a working visit with the President.
