The President of the Municipality, Ejup Nurković, said that the Prime Minister was presented with the goals, that is, the capital projects planned for the coming period, and that he was very pleased with the support to put the industrial plants that are currently not working into operation.
We are very pleased with the Government's intention to help the municipalities in the north more, because with the capacities we have, we are not in a situation to do anything independently without the help of the Government and its institutions and international funds. We agreed that all future projects will be determined by the household and that they will receive the support of the Government, which will condition the faster development of this environment. We also agreed to offer all existing plants without compensation to strategic partners that the Government and the municipality will try to provide through contacts with the diaspora in order to create as many jobs as possible - said Nurković.
Đukanović said that he was satisfied with the cooperation achieved in the past period, which resulted in the municipality of Rožaje achieving financial stability and the possibility to invest in development projects.
We assessed that the cooperation between this municipality and the Government is appropriate and that through this cooperation we have done a lot of work, such as the consolidation of public finances, which solved the problem of the municipality and its public companies based on taxes and contributions and the problem of debts through borrowing through bank loans. With this, we created the conditions for this municipality to function regularly. In addition, we talked about arranging the infrastructure and creating conditions for a better life for citizens, and above all solving the issue of unemployment. The priority in this environment is the issue of water supply and waste water disposal, and this will be our joint task. We also talked about the need to build a primary school and a kindergarten - said Đukanović, emphasizing that they also paid attention to creating assumptions for business development.
Earlier, this municipality exuded a good entrepreneurial spirit. However, environmental conditions have worsened over the last few decades. In the meantime, we solved the state issue, the issue of stability and the issue of integration. Now we have a better environment and it is a question of the ability of the local and central government to activate the entrepreneurial potential - said Đukanović, emphasizing that there was also talk of development projects in the fields of tourism, agriculture, industry and energy.
As before, and with even better opportunities, the government will be an absolute supporter of Rožaj in the realization of healthy development projects - said Đukanović, emphasizing that there is a surplus of employees in the Rožaj municipality and that rationalization is needed in that area.
We are not helping anyone when we invent jobs in the administration, because we will pass and someone will come who will do the logical work, which is that the administration must be rational in order to make space for business easier - said Đukanović.
The Prime Minister and his associates visited the former plant of "Panel" in Gornji Ibar, which was leased by the Turkish company "Sandžakli Imobilija", which employed 30 workers, and which will start trial production on Monday. Also, Đukanović, together with Director Dženita Kurtagić and President Nurković, cut the ribbon and thereby made official the work of the "Day Center for Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities".
Minister Ivanović, together with President Nurković and director of the Directorate for Construction and Investments, Mirsad Džudžević, visited the works on the "Ćosovsko vrelo" water supply system, which is supposed to supply all the villages of the hunting basin of the river.
At the end of the visit, President Nurković, Minister Ivanović and director of "TIKA" for Montenegro Mustafa Jazidži put into operation the city's water supply, an investment worth over three million euros, which was jointly financed by the municipality and the Turkish development organization "Tika".
