Today, the TV Al Jazeera Balkans team visited the Municipality of Rožaje together with the President of the Municipality, Mr. Ejup Nurković discussed the subject of "emigration" and the reasons and program of the Local Government in the event that Western countries start deporting "Balkans" to their home countries.
On that occasion, President Nurković pointed out that the trend of emigration is evident in the wider region, including Croatia and BiH, and that neither Montenegro nor Rožaje is an exception. Expressing regret for that, he pointed out that the Loklan administration is working to secure new jobs through the sound privatization of former giants such as GIR, which was partly sold to the respectable Turkish company "Sancakli mobilya" and which will invest up to five million in the next 4 years euros in rehabilitation and production capacities and employ close to 170 workers. In addition, the Local Administration worked hard on the rehabilitation and asphalting of regional roads, as well as on the construction of water supply and other infrastructure. All of this shows the determination of the municipal administration to improve the living conditions in Rožaje and thus automatically reduce the intensity of emigration, which is now in an evident decline, which makes us extremely happy, emphasized Nurković.
