The president of the municipality of Rožaje visited the local communities in the rural area with his associates

     These days (13.06. – 17.06.) of the current year, the President of the Municipality, Mr. Ejup Nurković, with the Secretary of the Secretariat for Local Communities, Mr. Vehbija Honsić and the Director of the Directorate for Construction and Investments, Mr. Mirsad Džudžević, in accordance with the Work Plan for this year, visited local communities in the rural area, namely: Klanac, Ćosovica, Gornja Lovnica, Plunce, Besnik, Bijela Crkva, Paučina, Bukovica and Biševo, and the tour of other local communities will continue. On that occasion, at the meetings with local community authorities (president of the MH Council, members of the Council and other invited citizens), the results of last year's joint activities of the MH authorities and the municipality on the construction of infrastructural facilities and other needs in the specific area were analyzed on the one hand, and the next activities for solving existing needs in order to create better conditions for the life and work of citizens on the other side.

 

       At these meetings, identical problems were highlighted in almost all local communities, and the fact is that some are carried over from year to year for a long period of time. And these are: insufficiently built road infrastructure (asphalting, breaking and tamping of roads), inadequately resolved issues of supplying the population with water and electricity, problems related to solid waste landfills, unemployment, difficult economic and social situation of individuals, families and the wider community, inadequate stimulating measures for the development of agriculture and animal husbandry, illegal transport of huge loads on local roads by concessionaires, unregulated milk churning, solving the problem of organized transport from the Ministry of Health to the city, lack of internet in most of the territory, winter maintenance of roads, operation of clinics several days during the week, regular and adequate maintenance of schools and their yards. Other problems faced by citizens in the local area were also presented. The representatives of local community authorities at these meetings expressed their deep gratitude to the President of the Municipality and his associates for the cooperation, regular communication, help and understanding of their needs.

 

      Participating in the discussion at these meetings, the President of the Municipality, Mr. Ejup Nurković, informed the attendees that the Municipality is actively investing in the following projects, namely: works are underway on the asphalting of the Besnik-Radetina road, the asphalt road through Balotići and the road pavement towards Štedim are being worked on. . Work on the building of the day center for children with special needs has been completed, work is being carried out on the construction of sports facilities on Banžovo brdo, during the past year the municipality was actively investing in almost every village through tamping and filling roads, breaking new road routes, and building canals. , culverts and bridges. In accordance with its financial capabilities, the municipality materially helped a significant number of families who are among the socially vulnerable. It was also pointed out that spatial planning documentation and project documentation for certain investments were prepared, which created a basis for the Municipality to request funds from competent financial institutions for financing certain infrastructure projects. The local administration led a special activity in connection with finding strategic investors and activating certain production plants in the former "Upper Ibar". Discussions are also being held with other potential investors regarding the construction and activation of some production capacities. The President emphasized that certain problems can be solved through a partnership relationship - investments by the Municipality, citizens, diaspora and other donors. It is evident that the bodies of local communities fulfill their role more significantly from year to year and that their activities will be comprehensively assisted and supported by the local administration.

 

       Based on the presented requests of the Ministry of Health and the views of the representatives of the local administration, the President of the Municipality, Mr. Ejup Nurković, supported the implementation of certain requests during this year, and those responsible from the local community will submit concrete programs of investment activities to the municipality for this year.
