THE PRESIDENT OF THE MUNICIPALITY MET WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROŽAJA
In the organization of the Secretariat for Local Communities of the Municipality of Rožaje, a session was held that was attended by a large number of presidents of local communities, and topics related to solving current and long-term problems were discussed, and the previous work of the local administration was analyzed when it comes to investments in infrastructure and councils. commitment to local communities.
The session was chaired by the Secretary of the Secretariat for Local Communities, Mr. Vehbija Honsić, and the presidents of the local communities spared no words of praise for the work of this Secretariat and its employees.
The presidents of the local communities presented the problems that the locals face, most of which concern the rehabilitation and construction of infrastructure, roads, water supply and other facilities that have not been invested in in the past years and decades, and drew attention to the fact that the investments are visible, but that they must be equal at the level of all local communities.
The secretary of the Secretariat for Agriculture, Mersad Šutković, presented the plans and projects that this secretariat has in the coming period. Also, Šutković pointed out that the presidents of the Ministry of Health should pay more attention when it comes to applying in a timely manner to the advertisements published by this secretariat in cooperation with the local administration, which concern subsidies in the allocation of greenhouses or seedlings, as well as assistance in applying for European funds.
Arbin Kalač introduced the presidents of the local communities to the plans and programs of the Secretariat for Urban Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, which concern certain capital projects that are of vital importance, such as the construction of an industrial zone and a wastewater treatment plant.
In his speech, the commander of the protection and rescue service, Nuradin Agović, spoke about the nature of the work that his service deals with and referred to the problems with the deficit of the necessary rescue equipment. Regarding the work program, he said that they have preventive and operational activities and that they have attended seminars at the state level and are passing this knowledge on to local communities. He also said that it is important to prepare for the summer period because the high temperatures have been announced, and he asked the president of the local communities for intensive cooperation in all fields related to the service of which he is the commander. Residents should be lied to about preventive measures when it comes to uncontrolled burning of waste hay and that such procedures are very dangerous.
The president of the municipality, Mr. Ejup Nurković, said that a lot was done in the three-year period, but that this period was insufficient for the rehabilitation and construction of all the necessary infrastructure works in the area of the municipality of Rožaje. He further emphasizes that coordination and cooperation in the next period must be even greater and more efficient in order to have insight into all the problems faced by the residents of all local communities.
He also said that he expects greater commitment to socially vulnerable citizens and that this type of communication should be practiced in the coming period. The president went on to say: "Also, I expect you to present everything in a decisive and clear manner about all the problems you have in your local communities and for which you may have turned to the local administration without your request being granted or answered, in order to improve the work of our services, secretariats and directorates". He also asked the representatives of the local communities to bear in mind the limited financial resources available to the local government and that it is not possible to achieve the desired dynamics or act on several sides at the same time, but it is important that the local government takes into account all the problems and works on solving them in accordance with their capabilities. He introduced them to the plans of the local government for 2017.
