President of the SO Almir Avdić congratulated the National Day

Today, by laying a wreath on the monument to the fallen fighters of NOR, we will mark July 13, the Statehood Day of Montenegro and thus give importance to this holiday, primarily because of the achievements of anti-fascism and the values it represents.

Rožaje made an immeasurable contribution to the fight against fascism, both through ZAVNOS and through its heroes who laid down their lives for those values. Even today, we stand on the sidelines of these values in the fight against similar narratives that led to great suffering then and in the recent past.

Of course, today, more than ever, Montenegro needs to celebrate this day because, unfortunately, ideas and protagonists of insane ideologies are still present in our society, which are against the civil, multicultural and multi-religious society of Montenegro, which it inherited in to its being. That is why I wish all the citizens of Montenegro and the diaspora a happy National Day.
