Prevention of radicalism among young people in the north of Montenegro
As part of the project Prevention of radicalism among young people in the north of Montenegro through youth work, in Rožaje, after Plav and Beran, in the period 04-06. training held in March Me, my values and the society around me. The aim of the job was to create a space in which to discuss the values of young people in today's changing society and the ways in which young people face the challenges of social development with a focus on the relationship between traditional and "modern" values.
The topics covered during the training are: promotion of peace and tolerance, openness, community activism, creative conflict resolution. The training was held in the municipal youth club Rožaje, and 20 high school students from Rožaje showed a high degree of openness and motivation to discuss this topic, share personal experiences and acquire new knowledge. The training was conducted by long-time youth workers of the MNE Forum, Elvira Hadžibegović Bubanja and Tamara Čirgić. The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mr. Ejup Nurković attended the awarding of diplomas to the training participants and expressed his satisfaction with the dedication of the young people of Rožaje.
The product of the training will be a short video with the main messages of young people, which will later be promoted to the wider community. The project is financially supported by the Embassy of the United Kingdom.
