Proclaimed the best athletes and workers in local self-government in 2018
On the eve of the beginning of the new year, 2019, a session of the Collegium of the Municipality of Rožaje was held in the Hotel "Aldi", which, in addition to the President of the Municipality and the Assembly, Ejup Nurković and Almir Avdić and their associates, was also attended by members of the local parliament, representatives of political parties, directors of public institutions and companies. whose founder is the municipality and the presidents of the local communities.
The meeting was of a working and festive nature. At the very beginning of the gathering, President Ejup Nurković reviewed the work of the local self-government in the past year, and the projects that, according to plans, will be implemented in the following period.
The ceremonial part of the meeting was reserved for the presentation of awards to the best athletes for 2018 and local government workers.
The commission for awarding public recognitions in the field of sports made decisions on the awarding of two recognitions for achieved sports results in 2018.
The first award went to David Kajević, the representative of Montenegro in kickboxing, who has been representing his hometown and country in the right way for many years by winning numerous medals at regional and international competitions.
In 2018, Kajević won third place at the European Championship in Bratislava, the K1 show where he beat the Italian champion, and the Balkan Cup in Niš.
This year's winner of the sports award is the goalkeeper of FC "Ibar" Adis Kuč. Adis plays for the senior and youth team "Ibra". He was in the ideal composition of the team of the Northern region of the Football Association of Montenegro. This young athlete remained undefeated throughout the autumn part of the season. As it was said during the awarding ceremony, he set a club and regional record for unbeaten runs, that is, he did not concede a goal for 900 minutes, thus contributing to the return of his club to the II Montenegrin League.
The best local self-government worker in 2018, according to the Commission's assessment, is Irma Selmanović, who started working in the local self-government bodies as an intern. Until now, she has worked in the secretariats for general administration and social activities, for spatial planning and environmental protection, the Directorate for Property and Protection of Municipal Rights, and after the bar exam she was appointed as the president of the Appeals Commission.
The director of Radio Television Rožaje, Mirsad Feleć, received a similar recognition. In just over four years of holding the position of director of the Local Public Broadcaster, he managed to transform Radio Rožaje into Radio Television Rožaje, which, during the evaluation, was classified as a revolutionary step forward in the field of modernization and improvement of work at the level of institutions and companies founded by the municipality.
The awards are immeasurably significant to the awarded athletes because, as they said, they come from their city.
The best workers of local self-government are awarded for the first time in 2018 at the initiative of President Nurković, who assessed that awarding recognition for the results achieved in the field of improving the quality of work of local self-government will raise the level of motivation for work among employees, and that, in the end, such a practice positively influence the overall functioning of local self-government.
