The spring risk of landslides in Rožaje

During the spring, landslides appeared in various localities on the territory of the municipality of Rožaje, which in some places endangered traffic.

Today, the President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković with the President of the Assembly of Rožaje, Husein Kurtagić, Director of the Directorate for Investments and Construction, Mirsad Džudžević, Secretary of the Secretariat for Local Communities, Vehbija Honsić, Advisor for Investments in the Directorate, Belo Camić and the director of the elementary school in Balotići, together with the member of the local Assembly, Rahman Husović, visited the landslide in the town of Balotiće, in order to determine the damage caused by the natural disaster. Urgent action has already been taken on this disaster, and professional and financial assistance was requested from the Government of Montenegro, through the Commission for Natural Disasters and Emergency Situations.

Traffic on this section runs smoothly, but if the landslide intensifies, it may endanger traffic on that road.

The authorities of the Municipality of Rožaje have also requested professional help from the relevant geological institutions, which will visit all landslides in the territory of the Municipality of Rožaje next Sunday.
