The first official visit of the President of the Municipality of Rožaje to Bosnia and Herzegovina

Last week, the President of the Municipality of Rožaje was on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, during which he had a number of successful meetings with local businessmen, as well as a visit to the Association of Bosniaks from Sandžak. During this visit, a meeting was organized with the President of the Municipality of Goražde, which was declared the most successful municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the invitation of Mr. Lekić, president of the Association of Citizens from Sandžak, President Nurković and Vice-President Azemović had a working meeting with prominent members of that Association, during which information was exchanged that will be helpful in future cooperation. President Nurković informed the members about the current situation in the Municipality and the plans for economic recovery in our city.

The association stated that Rožaje was put in an unenviable situation by the irresponsible attitude of the previous government and that this is an excellent opportunity to start cooperation at all levels, which did not exist or was at an unsatisfactory level in the previous period. The importance of animating our diaspora throughout BIH to invest part of the funds in order to restart the economy in Rožaje was particularly highlighted. It was agreed that soon people from the Association will visit Rožaje with businessmen and that the ideas from this meeting will be concretized.

Also, on the same day, there was a meeting with the president of the municipality of Goražde, which was declared the most successful municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year. President Muhamed Ramović took the opportunity to thank all the people of Rožaj for the humanity they showed during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and proposed to establish cooperation between Rožaj and Goražde, the first step being the twinning of the two cities. President Ramović announced an imminent visit to Rožaje.

On the second day of the visit, the president was the guest of several successful businessmen, where they talked about concrete investment and the expansion of their business in Rožaje and Montenegro.
