Reconstruction of the Elementary School "Brotherhood - Unity"
In the Elementary School "Brotherhood - unity" in Skarepača, the successful completion of the project was marked today, which was financed in the amount of about 85,000 euros by the "Caritas Luxemburg" office from Beran and the Montenegrin Ministry of Education.
The director of the school, Muzafer Mujević, said that the carpentry was replaced at that educational institution, a new facade was made and the access path paved.
"Caritas allocated around 60,000 euros, or 75 percent, for these jobs, and the rest was allocated by the relevant Ministry." Apart from the fact that the exterior of the school has been significantly improved, the importance of this project is also that significant energy efficiency has been achieved, so the classrooms will be much warmer and more comfortable for students and teaching staff to stay in during the winter period," said Mujević.
He reminded that "Caritas" in cooperation with the Ministry of Education invested in that school six years ago, when around 30 thousand euros were allocated for the reconstruction of wet facilities.
Mujević also highlighted the significant investments of the Municipality of Rožaje.
"Several years ago, the local administration financed the reconstruction of the regional department in Seošnica in the amount of around 40,000 euros. Last year, in the regional department in Kalači, she financed the construction of a modern sports field with about 60,000, and the reconstruction of the school building, which included the addition of one classroom, the replacement of the roof structure and roof covering, as well as the asphalting of the access path. I thank the local administration and the mayor for the invested funds and recognition of the need to improve education in our municipality despite the years of crisis," said Mujević, who also appealed to the Ministry of Education for the allocated significant funds for the construction of the water supply system for the regional division of Kalača, as well as for the replacement of gutters and rehabilitation of the roof of the home school building.
The director of the "Caritas Luxembourg" office, Ervin Mandžukić, said that the project was realized thanks to the successful cooperation of "Caritas", the local administration and the Ministry of Education.
He also said that "Caritas" has financed new agriculture, tourism and kitchen cabinets in the Vocational High School in the last few months. As he announced in the next two months, that organization will also invest in the installation of biomass heating in SSŠ, Gymnasium "30. September" and Elementary School "25. May".
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Nusret Kalač, said that the local administration, in partnership with the Government and "Caritas", participated in the construction of many social infrastructure facilities, primarily educational ones.
"Although our legal authority is not in the binding domain, there is almost no school where we have not financed certain projects, which we will continue to do in the future. This speaks in favor of the fact that the local administration is seriously committed to education because we believe that it is the essence of the development of a society. This year too, we will allocate significant funds to bring some of the projects to an end. "We have the ambition to complete the reconstruction of the four-grade school in Kalač, in which around 60,000 euros will be invested after the completion of the work," said Kalač.
In addition, project documentation will be prepared for the construction of the school training ground in Seošnica, and funds will be allocated for the minor renovation of the training ground in Spotra in the elementary school "Bratstvo - Jedinstvo".
