Tonight in Rožaje, in the match for the championship belt in the category over 91 kilograms - the low kick discipline, he defeated the Greek Vasilis Karagianidis.

Hodžić, who won the gold medal at the World Junior Championships in 2014, celebrated with the judges' decision on points.

"Hodžić defeated a quality fighter, he was the better opponent for most of the match. Especially in the first and second, but also the last two rounds, in which he showed his talent. Karagianidis, who proved to be a quality fighter, went to the third round. At the age of 18, Hodžić became the youngest Montenegrin fighter with the title of professional champion," Univerzum coach Mersad Muković told the MINA agency.

He reminded that Hodžić is the second fighter of the Universe with a championship belt, after Damir Muković, who won the titles of European and world champions in the WKU federation.

Muković said that he was sorry that Samed Demić could not fight for the championship title tonight due to an injury.

The successful evening of Rozaj and Montenegrin kickboxing was completed by the other fighters of the Universe, seniors Džemail Salihović (up to 63) and Nedžad Hot (up to 85), juniors Amar Fetahović (d0 67) and cadet Zijad Dutović (up to 51) with victories in the opening fights.
