In the past two days, the president and general secretary of the Association of Balkan Associations from the Republic of Turkey, Reccep Varol and Suat Nurkan, visited the municipality of Rožaje.
The aim of the visit was to consider ways and possibilities to help the projects run by the Municipality of Rožaje.
The guests were welcomed by the President of the Assembly Husejin Kurtagić and the Vice President of the Municipality Mirsad Azemović and their associates.
This umbrella institution of the Balkan Associations has so far mediated and supported a large number of projects in the surrounding countries where impressive financial and other resources have been invested.
They mostly help the reconstruction and construction of infrastructure, educational and health institutions and institutions, including assistance to institutions and associations that represent people with disabilities. At the same time, they mediate in negotiations with potential investors from the Republic of Turkey, presenting them with the potential of the cities and regions they visit.
They also visited the Center for Children with Special Needs and learned about the way it functions, and the director, Ms. Dženita Kurtagić, informed them about the way this institution works and functions and about the deficit in certain devices that are needed to improve efficiency. therapy and treatment. In his address, the President of the Association, Mr. Redžep Varol, said that this is the best organized institution of this character that he has visited so far, and there were many, and he promised concrete help.
The meeting with the representatives of the municipality of Rožaje lasted almost three hours, where the municipal officials from almost all departments presented certain projects that were discussed in detail. Verbally and in writing, several projects were presented that are of vital importance for our city and its development.
They discussed the development of agriculture, animal husbandry, communal sports infrastructure, tourism, media, environmental protection, and the organization of a business forum that would be held in Rožaje.
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mr. Ejup Nurković, in his letter, thanked the guests from the Republic of Turkey for their visit and commitment to more intensive cooperation and communication in the coming period.
This meeting was evaluated as very useful and constructive and opened the door for further cooperation in all fields, with the help of the Government and local communities in order to exchange certain experiences, and study visits to Turkey were also announced.
