Officials from Rožaj donated part of their monthly earnings to the National Coordination Body

Presidents of the Municipality and the Assembly of the Municipality of Rožaje, Rahman Husovic and Almir Avdic, chief administrator Irma Selmanović and secretary of the local parliament Amer Dacic they paid part of their monthly wages to the account of the National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases.

"We want to contribute to the national fight against the spread of the corona virus in this way, and on the other hand, with the activities we carry out every day, we prove that the local self-government of Rožaj is ready to fully implement the Government's recommendations and to respond even to such a serious health challenge". Rožaj officials say.

The municipality of Rožaje previously donated five thousand euros to NKT.

Previously, the members of the local assembly (BS, DPS) paid a part of their monthly salaries to the NKT, while the SD members and the SDP member set aside the entire monthly amount for this purpose.

In order to reduce the negative effects of the corona virus epidemic, the Municipality of Rožaje obliged the local self-government bodies as well as the institutions, companies and agencies of which it is the founder to carry out a responsible fiscal policy with the aim of harmonizing expenditures with available income.

By the same decision, the payment of the variable part of the salary, compensation for work in commissions, administrative boards and other working bodies is prohibited for a period of 90 days.
