Machinery delivered to Rožaj farmers
On April 13, a part of agricultural machinery was delivered to Rožaj farmers as part of the incentive measures of the Ministry of Agriculture for 2022. A total of 90 farmers applied for the public call, Mersad Šutković, secretary of the Secretariat for Agriculture, Tourism and Water Management in the Municipality of Rožaje, told RTR.
"VOne part of the machinery is being delivered, one part has already been delivered, and we expect the third part soon. I hope that this mechanization will facilitate the work of agricultural producers, and that it will give positive results” pointed out Šutković.
He says that the public calls of the Ministry of Agriculture are still ongoing, of which he singles out the public call for the allocation of funds to support young beekeepers.
He tells elementary and high school students not to run away from agricultural majors, because, as he says, the benefits are great and Rožaje lacks agricultural staff.
"I would use the opportunity to appeal to high school students to enroll in faculties related to agriculture or veterinary medicine because there is a lack of this staff in our municipality, so I have no doubt that they would find employment very quickly, and in that way they would contribute to the overall results when it comes to agriculture . I also invite primary school students to enroll in agricultural majors because the state invests a lot in these purposes, I believe that everyone can find a place in the field of agriculture" says Šutković.
He appealed to young people to take advantage of the Public Calls published by the Ministry for the purpose of supporting the business development of young farmers.
"Every year there is a public call for support for young farmers, these are grants in the amount of about 10,000 euros, and every high school student who completes one of the agricultural majors is entitled to these funds, and of course there is also support in other areas" Sutkovic concluded.
All additional information about public invitations can be found on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
