The transparency of local self-government encourages partnership with non-governmental organizations and the private sector. Transparency is reflected in the inclusion of representatives of civil society and the private sector in the work of local bodies and commissions, regular information, consultation on matters of importance (acts, decisions) for the life and work of all entities in the local community. A true partnership between the local government, NGOs and the private sector is based on the principles of responsibility, mutual respect and respect for the interests of all subjects, and it contributes to the reduction of opportunities for corruption and represents a great challenge for local self-government.
It is very important for all those who are employed in local self-government to have their integrity and professionalism. People can be corrupt which is the original meaning of corruption, corruption of people or more simply biased behavior. Local self-government is a mirror of society as a whole and I, as a citizen, if I want to realize some of my rights, and I cannot do that, I will definitely express my dissatisfaction and I will not have confidence in local self-government bodies, said Rakočević.
The municipality is drastically weakened and the assets of privileged contractors are also drastically increased. An important item in this is the public-private partnership.
