Professional support for projects in the field of communal activities and environmental protection

The municipality of Rožaje was visited today by representatives of the National Unit for the Implementation of Projects in the Field of Communal Activities and Environmental Protection - "Project - Consulting" (PROCON) from Podgorica.

The topic of the meeting was activities on the implementation of projects in the field of communal services and environmental protection, which the local self-government of Rožaj will implement in the coming period.

Bearing in mind that it is planned that the project of the construction of a wastewater treatment system in the municipality of Rožaje will be financed partly from IPA grant funds and national participation, and partly from a credit arrangement with the European Investment Bank, it is of great importance that PROCON and the Municipality of Rožaje define a model of future cooperation . We have important and complex activities ahead of us within that program, is the common message from today's meeting.

PROCON provides support to local self-governments when applying for projects and provides expert assistance in preparing the necessary documentation for their implementation, analyzes projects from the point of view of feasibility, sustainability and compliance with strategic documents.

The municipality of Rožaje and PROCON have been successfully cooperating since 2015. PROCON is, among other things, responsible for the implementation of funds allocated by the Government for the financing of the project Construction of Wastewater Treatment System in the municipality of Rožaje.

The participants of the meeting were the President of the Municipality Rahman Husović, the Manager of the Municipality Mirsad Džudžević, the head of the Cabinet of the President Emir Kuč and the head of the Office for Development Projects Fikret Kuč.

Acting Executive Director Valerija Saveljić and General Manager Danijela Šundić visited the Municipality of Rožaje on behalf of PROCON.
