Ceremonially marked Municipal Day
September 30, Municipality Day, was celebrated in Rožaje. On this occasion, a solemn session of the Assembly was held.
At the session, current investments were presented, which, as it was said, this year will reach 25 million euros, and it was ordered to work intensively on creating conditions for the valorization of the tourist potential of the municipality.
The president of the municipality, Ejup Nurković, said that thanks to the good cooperation between the local self-government and the Government of Montenegro, prerequisites for economic development and an increase in the quality of life of citizens are being created in Rozaje.
This year's winners of the "30. September", the highest municipal award goes to Adem Kurpejović, for his distinguished creativity in the field of literature, Ernes Kalač, for his special contribution to the development of sports in Rožaje, and Dr. Fadil Halilović, posthumous, for his contribution to the improvement of healthcare.
The president of the local parliament, Almir Avdić, presented awards to the best student of the Gymnasium "30. September" to Ajna Murić and the students of the generation at the Secondary Vocational School Emi Dacić and Irmi Nurković.
In the fun part of the program, the Cultural Art Society "Vrelo Ibra" and singer Adis Murić presented themselves to the audience.
Congratulations on the occasion of the Municipal Day to the management and citizens of Rožaj were sent by the President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, President of the Assembly Ivan Brajović, Deputy Prime Minister for Regional Development Rafet Husović, Minister of Sports Nikola Janović, presidents of municipalities and certain institutions.
The session was attended by the ambassador of Palestine and Turkey, Rabi Alhantouli and Songul Ozan, ministers Osman Nurković and Kemal Purišić, president of the Islamic Community Rifat ef. Fejzić, coordinator of the Bosniak Council Admir Adrović, director of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs Alija Košuta, director of the Institute Suljo Mustafić, presidents of sister and individual Montenegrin municipalities and numerous representatives of political, religious, cultural and public life.
