At the Health Center, they are doing their best to overcome the current epidemiological situation. The virus was introduced to Rožaje by citizens of Serbia.
President of the Municipality Rahman Husovic he was a guest of the TV Vijesti morning program and spoke about the current epidemiological situation in Rožaje.
"The epidemiological situation in Rožaje is currently worrisome, the number of infected people is increasing day by day, but I am optimistic and believe that we will quickly overcome this situation. Based on the last published cross-section, 59 people were infected. Currently, seven patients are hospitalized. Their vital functions are stable. The rest of the infected are in self-isolation, so there are 52 of them, and their health is good. I would also point out that since the appearance of the first case of infection until today, around 500 people have been tested", the president said.
When asked if the citizens of Rožaj respect the measures of the NKT, President Husović said that the citizens of Rožaj generally respect the measures of the National Coordination Body.
He pointed out that the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team has insight into the entire situation hour by hour and that the data from the field shows that the citizens are mostly disciplined for now.
“These days, working hours have been reduced in the Municipality and we have released some of the workers from their duties in order to establish physical distance in the offices... I visited the Health Center yesterday. I spoke with the director Dr. Jaho Pepić. They do everything to help the citizens. Their teams are on the field day and night. Especially the epidemiological team. They monitor the condition of infected patients, communicate with the Institute for Public Health and follow their recommendations. Therefore, they are doing their best to overcome the current situation", the president stated Husovic answering questions during further conversation.
The President also presented data on the number of prosecuted persons who violated NKT measures:
“... since the appearance of the first case of infection, a total of six people have been prosecuted for violating the measures. Two persons are Serbian citizens, they entered Montenegro illegally and imported the virus to family members. Therefore, they introduced the virus. One person violated the measures by exiting Dračenovac and entering through the Kula border crossing. One person also left Montenegro several times and entered illegally. During the weekend, a girl tried to enter illegally. And finally, one person violated the measures by transporting more people in the car than is allowed...", the president said, among other things Husovic.
