The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated in Rožaje
The Center for International Cooperation and Diaspora, in cooperation with prominent individuals from the diaspora, symbolically celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) with an appropriate entertainment program. Gift packages were prepared and delivered to 40 children with special needs, and gifts were also donated to the association that brings them together (plasma TV, DVD player and set of cartoons), while one frienda monetary gift was presented to a vulnerable girl. The head of the Center for International Cooperation and Diaspora made a personal effort to donate, fulfill a wish and make a blind boy happy, giving him a phone for the blind.
The head of the Center, Mrs. Husović, thanked the diaspora, the great humanists, who invest in our society and act for its benefit, set an example for others, revive forgotten values such as solidarity and empathy, Sadrija Sak Dacić, Nazif Škrijelj, Enes Plojović and Almir Zukorlić. .
"A child with special needs is a child, and all children have equal rights and have the same kind of emotions, needs and interests and go through the same problems as all of us. They have the right to develop and respect for their human dignity.
The occasion of the gathering is to provide support to these dear children, to develop friendships and friendships.
We want to give these children a hand and open a heart full of warmth, thereby enriching our lives and enabling them to be happy. Dear parents of these wonderful children, we want you to know that you can always count on us and that you are not alone.
And to you, dear friends, thank you for being with us and supporting this project, supporting the children, thank you for being there so that we can learn to appreciate life together," said Husović.
