The Agricultural Budget for 2019 was presented in Rožaje
On February 22, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development presented the Agricultural Budget for 2019 in Rožaje.
The generous support provided by the Agricultural Budget this year is intended for agricultural producers through non-reimbursed support, which can be used through numerous public calls and incentive measures for all areas of agricultural production.
Agricultural producers from Rožaj had the opportunity to be informed about the closer conditions and criteria for obtaining support. The extremely high interest of the producers in this presentation is a confirmation of their readiness for further investments in the development of agricultural holdings and the growth of competitiveness, with the aim of achieving higher household incomes and the development of rural areas, the representatives of the Ministry concluded.
Farmers from Rožaj expressed the most interest in the procedure of procurement of mechanization, connections and equipment in the function of primary production through the measure of the same name. Agricultural farms that are duly registered in the Register of Agricultural Farms can in this way obtain up to 50% support from eligible investment costs for the purchase of machinery and equipment in the form of grants, up to a maximum of 2,500 euros per request.
This year, the support measure for on-farm milk processing, which was created with the aim of raising the level of competitiveness of domestic traditional dairy products, consolidating agricultural farms for milk production and introducing food safety standards on farms where primary products are processed, attracted a lot of attention this year.
Agricultural producers in Rožaj engaged in animal husbandry have been informed that support through this measure of the Agrobudget can be used by those producers who are registered in the Register of registered facilities in the Directorate for Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs, and at the same time have 3 or more conditional milking cows. Support is provided in the form of a premium of 0.06 euros per liter of processed milk.
As in previous years, young farmers, who have completed secondary agricultural/veterinary school or agricultural faculty, have the opportunity to start an agribusiness with a non-refundable support of 10,000 euros and thereby solve the problem of unemployment, stay on their property and engage in agriculture, thus giving a positive an example for other young people to stay in the countryside and recognize agriculture as a branch in which significant results can be achieved.
The conditions for the procedure for licensing bulls and stallions through the livestock improvement program, which is implemented in order to improve the competitiveness of livestock production by improving the genetic potential of breeding livestock, have been clarified. Support is provided for the purchase of seeds for artificial insemination in full, and for licensed breeding cows up to 120 euros per head, the use of quality stallions for natural breeding provided that they are selected and licensed in accordance with the law, as well as the use of quality bulls for natural breeding .
