The association of paraplegics received a gift of a wheelchair, a motive for greater work
Five sports wheelchairs were donated to the Rožaj Association of Paraplegics by Sadrija-Sak Dacić, a well-known businessman originally from Rožaj, who lives and works in Germany. The value of the presented gift is 20,000 euros, and according to the members of this Association, their moral value is much higher than the material value. Until now, despite the great will, the members of the Basketball Club have not had the opportunity for sports gatherings and competitions, and this donation will facilitate their future activities.
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, attended the ceremony of awarding the donation in the Sports Center with his colleagues. Sadrija Dacić handed the cart to the President of the Association, Jasmin Nokić, emphasizing that he came up with the idea for the donation after talking with dr. Arslan Dedeić, who informed him that the Basketball Club exists in Rožaje, but they lack a wheelchair. On this occasion, he also stated that it makes him especially happy to see the smiling faces of all members of the Association because of this donation and that he does not regret the effort invested.
Mr. Nokić directed the attendees to the previous work of the Association, which has been in existence for 3 months, but the members of the Association were forced to travel to Podrgorica once a week and use the carts of friends of the "Paramont" Club, which created a lot of effort and costs. According to him, the Club now has opportunities for better and more intensive engagement, regular training and better integration of people with special needs.
On this occasion, the President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, addressed the audience, thanking Mr. Dacić for the donation and all previous donations to various associations, institutions and individuals in Rožaje. He told the association of paragliders that the Rožaje Local Government makes every effort to help people with special needs and enable them to better integrate into our society, and will insist on this in the future.
Elvis Fakić, originally from Tutin, also presented the Association with two super light wheelchairs, which will further improve the working conditions for their members.
