The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, hosted a reception today for Dženisa Mujević and Ahmed Nurković, students who have earned numerous awards in the country and abroad with their work and knowledge.
At the very beginning of the meeting, he expressed his satisfaction that he had the opportunity to talk with young people, who, as he pointed out, are true ambassadors of Rožaj, thanks to the outstanding results they achieve in the educational process.
"Your work deserves respect and I am glad that you are guests of the local government today. Young people whose main goal is to acquire knowledge and who are recognized for their achievements are the pride of our bazaar. I wish you all the best in your future work. I am convinced that you will be very successful in your future professions, and that a period of even greater intellectual growth is ahead of you. I am happy that Rožaje has such wonderful and educated young people. The municipality will be with you and all pupils and students who, with their knowledge, will contribute to the progress of the local community in the future", said President Husović, among other things.
Jenisa is a student at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro, majoring in Montenegrin language and South Slavic literature. With an average of 10.00, she was declared the best student of her faculty for the academic year 2020/21.
Ahmed is a third-year student at "The College of Idaho", which was declared the most prestigious college in the state of Idaho (United States of America). At the same time, he is studying biomedical engineering and international political economy. He is the recipient of a scholarship awarded by the President of the USA to the most promising foreign students. His average is 10.00, for which he received the Dean's Award, which is also the most valuable recognition in the field of evaluating student success.
During the one-hour meeting, Jenisa and Ahmed discussed with the president all the important details regarding their study programs as well as the challenges that followed distance learning during the corona virus pandemic.
