Extraordinary session of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly

On the initiative of the President of the Municipality, Nusret Kalač, a session of the local parliament was convened under urgent procedure today, where the proposal of SO Berana on the temporary location of waste storage in the area of the Cmiljevica mountain, near the ski centers Turjak and Lokve, was discussed.

All the councilors unanimously accepted the proposal of the President of the Municipality and adopted the conclusion that the competent state authorities are requested to stop all activities of the Local Administration in Berane in accordance with the Law on the adoption of the Decision on the disposal of solid waste at the Cmiljevica mountain site.

At the end of the extraordinary session, the President of the Municipality, Nusret Kalač, together with his colleagues and councilors, signed the "Stop Landfill" petition.

Today, over 1,500 citizens signed the petition in a few hours, and all those interested can join the initiative tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
