High delegation of TIKA visiting Rožaje

Today, President Husović and his associates hosted a high-ranking delegation of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA), led by the deputy president of TIKA, Mr. Mahmut Çevik.

In addition to the deputy president of TIKA, the delegation consisted of Mrs. Lejla Gulbudak, who is responsible for Montenegro at the agency's headquarters, TIKA coordinator in Podgorica Abdurrahman Toprak and assistant coordinator Mirzet Muezzinoglu.

The aim of the visit was to get to know and tour the Balkans and the regions in which TIKA participates.

The topic of the meeting was the presentation of ongoing activities, which primarily refers to the implementation of the project "Reconstruction of the old bridge and footpaths in the municipality of Rožaje" worth 340,000.00 euros.

Also, the possibility of further cooperation and active applications, which the Municipality of Rožaje sent to the Agency, were discussed.
These are the projects:
• "Procurement of equipment for television and radio production" of the local public broadcaster Radio Television Rožaje;
• Procurement of a specialized car tanker vehicle for refreshing streets and green areas, especially for supplying the population with drinking water during dry periods, and for donating 30 greenhouses with an area of 100m2 per unit of measure for the needs of interested agricultural producers.

The Deputy President of the Agency, Mr. Mahmut Çevik, pointed out that the requests sent by the Municipality of Rožaje are in the approval phase.
President Husović, on behalf of the local self-government and citizens, expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the Agency for carrying out various activities on the territory of the Rožaj municipality, which, as concluded, significantly improved the living environment of the citizens of Rožaj.
