AN INVESTMENT OF 4.5 MILLION EUROS IS REQUIRED TO "OPEN" HAJLA

In Rožaje, the realization of one of the most expensive investments in the field of traffic infrastructure in this area has started these days, the construction of 7.2 km. of the long road Daciće-Štedim. For this "difficult" investment of 4.5 million euros, the funds were provided by the Government of Montenegro, and the project is implemented through the Program of the Directorate of Public Works. The contractor is the company "Tehno put" from Podgorica.

According to Mirsad Džužević, director of the Directorate for Investments, this is one of the most important infrastructure projects for this municipality, because its implementation creates the conditions for the valorization of the tourist potential of the Hajla mountain.

It is known that for decades, Hajla has been considered a huge tourist potential for the development of practically all types of tourism, especially winter tourism, because in that area, at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, there are fantastic skiing grounds, and the snow stays practically from October to April, so that the construction of this road is a necessary condition for that - says Džudžević.

He said that it is a modern road with a total length of 7.2 kilometers, which will be implemented in stages.

The width of the road is 5.5 m, with gutters and banks according to the standards for that category of road. This year, the first phase is planned, which includes the construction of 900 m of road, and about 220,000 euros will be spent on it. We expect that the planned the work will be completed by the end of the year, however, if the weather conditions do not allow it, the remaining part of the work will be finished with the first nice days of next year and the implementation of the second phase, which is far more demanding in terms of construction and finance, will be completed - said Džudžević.
