Employed 20 people in the wood processing sector

20 people were employed within the project "Joint action for active employment measures in the wood processing sector in the municipality of Rožaje"

The program financed by the European Union, the Government of Montenegro and the Municipality of Rožaje included 10 wood processors who, thanks to non-refundable grants, bought modern machines for the finalization of production, employed two workers each and trained 30.

The President of the Municipality Rahman Husović reminds that Rožaje has a rich tradition when it comes to the wood processing sector of production.

"Our goal is to create jobs within traditional branches of the economy. Wood processors from Rožaj have a lot of knowledge and experience that we can harness in the direction of the development of our municipality. With these and similar projects, we are opening new perspectives for young people and creating new jobs in the real production sector," said President Husović.

The total value of the project is 410,000 euros.
