The constitutive session is over, Almir Avdić is the new president of the local parliament
The constitutive session of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly has ended. Almir Avdić, from the Bosniak Party, was elected as the new president of the local parliament by the majority of the councilors' votes, among which there was not a single one against Almir Avdić.
Almir Avdić was born on March 8, 1977. in Rožaje. He completed elementary school and high school in Rožje, and the Faculty of Business and Industrial Management in Belgrade, where he received the title of graduate manager.
As a successful private entrepreneur, he is at the head of a company in the field of production and hospitality. He has been a member of the Bosniak Party since its foundation. He is a member of the municipal and Main Board of the Bosniak Party. He held the position of vice-president of the Majlis of the Islamic Community in Rožaje from 2014 to 2018 and is now a member of the Board (volunteer position).
He is married and the father of three children. In each of his social engagements, he left a good impression, made healthy friendships and showed great social responsibility, according to his biography.
We remind you that 19 councilors from the Bosniak Party, 10 from the Democratic Party of Socialists, four from the SD and one councilor from the Social Democratic Party will participate in the work of the new convocation of the local assembly. The function of president of the local parliament was previously held by Mr. Husein Kurtagić.
