The land of Gornji Ibar returned to the Municipality of Rožaje

By decision of October 22, 2020, the Government of Montenegro ceded the land of Gornji Ibar to the Municipality of Rožaje.

According to the Detailed Urban Plan (DUP CENTER II), the construction of residential and business complexes, buildings of the third elementary school and kindergarten, emergency services, and service facilities, sports fields and park areas is planned for that location.

PMayor of the Municipality Rahman Husović he expressed satisfaction that the land of the former factory Gornji Ibar returned to the citizens of Rožaj. He said that facilities will be built on that site that will further urbanize the city center and create an opportunity to create new jobs.

"The municipality of Rožaje will strictly respect the planning documentation when bringing that space to a new purpose and legal procedures. This land is an extraordinary opportunity for the further development of the municipality", he said President.

The Government of Montenegro passed the Decision on the transfer of the right of disposal on October 22, 2020, and the legal process of its implementation by the competent state authorities lasted until recently.
