Officially opened park "Brezovačko brdo"
President of the municipality of Rožaje Ejup Nurković solemnly opened the city park "Brezovačko brdo" in the presence of a large number of citizens.
The Secretariat for Planning, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection, Ski Center "Hajla", NGO "Avlija", MZ "Banžovo Brdo", Boy Scout Detachment "Ibar", Radio Television Rozaje and the Local Tourist Organization realized the project of arranging the forest park "Brezovačko brdo" ".
The park-forest "Brezovačko Brdo" contains up to now 9700 meters of marked pedestrian and bicycle paths, a basketball and indoor soccer field, summerhouses, a trim track, three shelters from the rain, a barbecue corner by the river, a forest library with a reading room, playgrounds for children, info boards, five ramps that prevent cars from entering the park, bike racks, containers and trash cans.
The project will be complemented by the construction of five wooden pedestrian bridges over Crnja leading to Brezovacko Brdo, an outdoor gym, a tennis court, a lookout point with a wooden platform and other facilities.
The well-maintained forest paths will be used for hiking and cycling, and in winter for snowshoeing, ski touring and snowboarding, which will contribute to the development of healthy lifestyles, and at the same time improve the tourist offer in Rožaj.
The local self-government called on citizens to spend their free time in nature in order primarily to separate children from computers, video games, mobile phones and TV screens and to hang out in the park and other paths around the city. They also pointed out the problem of littering all around us and called on us to protect nature together. To that end, the park will have a guard and any littering next to the bypass or in the park will be sanctioned, they noted.
The President of the Municipal Assembly, Almir Avdić, presented certificates of appreciation to individuals who helped arrange the park: Samer Kalač, Nihad Nurković, Mustafa Luboder, Fikret Seferović, Dženis Nurković, Haris Kalač, Rasim Luboder, Hadr Murić, Hajrija Kalač, Almedin Džudžević, Etem Kalač and Nedim Luboder. .
